Giving Back
Through the Springhill Community Fund, we strive to support people with disabilities and make a positive change—one good deed at a time.
Springhill Community Fund
The Springhill Community Fund is a philanthropic initiative that supports our mission and addresses the unique needs of the individuals we serve. The Springhill Community Fund was created to advocate for and support individuals with disabilities in our community. We understand navigating the challenges of a disability can require specific, lifestyle-related needs that may be outside the scope of personal budgets or available funding. Our goal is to bridge this gap and uplift our community by providing essential resources.
Education & Event Space Construction
The Springhill Community Fund helped to support the construction of an education and event space that serves the community's needs in Oakland County. This initiative is undertaken by the ARC of Oakland County, a nonprofit organization that advocates for the rights and full participation of all children and adults with intellectual and other related developmental disabilities. The ARC of Oakland County's newly constructed Advocacy Resource Center provides one-on-one support services to their community.
Mobility & Technology
The Springhill Community Fund donated bikes, Lyft gift cards, and laptops to support the work lives of participants in Community Housing Network's long-term housing and leasing assistance program. Community Housing Network is a nonprofit organization committed to preventing homelessness and providing housing assistance.
Basketball League Donation
We provided a donation to support registration fees for 60 players of the Unified Basketball League at Woodside Bible Church in Troy, Michigan. The Woodside Bible Special Needs Ministry supports families affected by disability with classes, events, and service opportunities. Woodside is dedicated to providing a safe and welcoming environment that offers opportunities for spiritual awareness, growth, and fellowship for everyone in the ministry.
Home Repairs
The Springhill Community Fund improved the lives of four individuals with disabilities in a shared home. We funded crucial repairs, including painting the home's interior, replacing flooring throughout, and constructing a new backyard deck, providing the residents with a peaceful outdoor space to enjoy.
